For example, if your domain expires on 15 December 2026 and you renew on 1 March 2026, your new expiry becomes 15 December 2027.
We recommend renewing at least 30 days before expiry. This gives you a comfortable buffer for payment issues, bank holidays, or travel. If you have auto-renew on, we attempt the charge 7 days before expiry — that's still plenty of time to fix any payment failure.
If the domain is in the grace period (0–30 days after expiry for most TLDs), you can renew at the normal price with no extra fee. Your DNS, email, and website will come back online within minutes of renewal.
If the domain is in the redemption period (30–60 days), recovery is still possible but expensive — there's an additional 8,000–15,000 BDT redemption fee charged by the registry, and the recovery process takes 3–7 days. After 60–65 days the domain is released to the public and cannot be recovered.

The grace period is a 30-day window after your domain's official expiry date during which you can still renew at the normal price. During this period:
The grace period is your safety net. Most generic TLDs (.com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .xyz, etc.) follow ICANN's 30-day grace rule. .bd / .com.bd domains follow BTCL rules which also include a 30-day grace period.
The redemption fee is a registry-level charge that applies when you let a domain lapse past the grace period and want to recover it from the redemption period. It typically costs 8,000–15,000 BDT depending on the TLD, on top of the normal renewal price.
The fee exists because recovering a domain from redemption requires manual registry intervention — the registry has to pull the domain out of the "deleted" queue and re-assign it to you. This process takes 3–7 business days.
The redemption fee is 100% avoidable. Renew before expiry, turn on auto-renew, or renew during the 30-day grace period — any of these keeps you on the normal price.
Auto-renew is a free optional feature. When enabled, we automatically attempt to charge your saved payment method 7 days before your domain's expiry date. If the charge succeeds, your domain is renewed for 1 year and you get an email + SMS confirmation.
If the payment fails (insufficient balance, expired card, etc.), we immediately notify you by email and SMS. We then retry up to 3 times over the next 7 days before giving up. Even if all retries fail, you still have the 7-day buffer plus the 30-day grace period to renew manually.

After 72 hours, the registry has already processed the renewal and a refund is no longer possible. This matches ICANN's policy across all accredited registrars. If you're unsure, contact us within the first 3 days and we'll sort it out.
Note: redemption fee recoveries are non-refundable once the registry begins processing — that's a registry-side action we can't reverse.
